Adopted Kids
The check-out boy in the grocery store was eyeing my two adopted children curiously. My son has shiny black Haitian skin, and my daughter is a blonde Russian.
Finally the boy asked, "Are those your children?"
"Yes," I answered proudly.
"Are they adopted?" he asked.
"Yes," I replied.
"I thought so," he concluded. "I figured that you're too old to have kids that young!"
